There were many different hairstyles in the 1970’s that made a big change. People always had the same hairstyle so that they could stay in with the trends. On most popular hairstyle was the one with the flipped curl. The flip in your head would be with a bang or sometimes to the side of your head. That is still popular to this day. If you had a special occasion or something you would wear big wavy curls.
Hairstyles help you express yourself in a very big way. There was a lot of volume added hair in the 70’s. The 70’s hairstyles were all about the natural look. Women were trying to move away from the style of the 50’s and 60’s where the use of accessories was overdone. Women loved the straight hair look in the 70’s and they got it done with regular cloth irons.
